Another set back

This week andrew has been for a video scan of his throat( x-ray) to see if his swollowing is any better,as for the last 17months or since the accident he has been peg feed into his belly, in other words he has had nothing to eat for 17months!! he does get sips of water somtimes just to see if he can swallow but not very often. The scan showed that andrews swallow had improved a bit but still not good enough to start eating,this is yet another blow for him and it would be for any one,being told that u cant eat would get anyone down but for andrew this is very depressing for him and his morale is taking another battering.Some days andrews trim is very good this could be because he can start to see himself slowly getting better but other days when he suffers a set back like today understanderly his mood is very low.The next scan is another month away and until then the speach people will be working with him during that time to improve it even further,but they did say that they dont no if andrew will ever regain his swallow enough to eat normaly things,only time will tell.
